Director General of Physical Education in Kerman Province: No Sports Space Left, We Need Warm Clothing, Shoes, and Heating Supplies

The Director General of Physical Education in Kerman Province, Fazlollah Zamani, announced the complete destruction of all sports facilities in the city of Bam and stated that the football stadiums in Kerman and Bam have also been allocated for the evacuation of the injured. In an interview with the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA), he emphasized that the sports facilities in Bam, including the Azadi and Fajr halls, Shahid Qanbar Beiglari Stadium, and the swimming pool, have been completely destroyed, leaving not a single centimeter of usable sports space. He added that the football field has been designated for the evacuation of the IRGC forces, and it will not be usable after this incident. The Director General also mentioned that Shahid Salimi Kiya Stadium in Kerman, along with the sports halls in the city, has been allocated for helicopter landings, evacuation of the injured, and public aid. He noted that the Physical Education Organization, all provincial physical education offices across the country, the Sports Medicine Federation, and the public have been very cooperative, and currently, people need warm clothing, shoes, and heating supplies. Zamani thanked all journalists present in the earthquake-stricken area of Bam, stating that journalists from media outlets and press have provided significant assistance to the people with their writing and beautiful thoughts, giving them much encouragement. He concluded by saying that seven provinces have expressed readiness to accommodate the injured and survivors of the earthquake, but there is currently no urgent need for the accommodation of the injured.
