Public execution of a prisoner in Rasht The execution and killing machine of the religious fascism ruling Iran continues unabated; on May 31 and June 1 alone, at least 18 prisoners were sent to the gallows.

On Sunday, May 31, 12 prisoners were hanged. These included Parviz Valizadeh, 27, in Zanjan; Aslan Amiri, 33, in Arak; and 10 prisoners in Shiraz. Among the victims in Shiraz were Saeed Dehghanzadeh, Borzou Mousavizadeh, 30, Abbas Bayat, 30, Ali Akbar Sarabi-Moghadam, Salar Sheikhi, 29, three Baluch compatriots named Mohammad Osman Daneh-chin, Mohammad Sediq Baluchi, and Qader Khodamoradi, and two Afghan nationals.

On Monday, June 1, six prisoners were executed. Aside from the two rebellious youths previously reported, the other victims are Morteza Sadeghzadeh in Damghan, Hassan Tahmasebi and Kouhyar Abbasi in Qorveh, and Behnam Nemati, 38, who was hanged in public with utmost brutality in Rasht.
