Netanyahu: We Destroyed 'Factories of Death' in Attack on Iran

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, stated that his country launched a significant attack on targeted sites in Iran in the early hours of Saturday, November 5. In a fiery speech on Monday, November 7, at the beginning of the winter session of the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, he declared: "We struck hard at Iran's air defense systems and its ability to export missiles. The facilities we attacked were not simple workshops but industrial factories of death, and we attacked them with intensity." He did not provide further details about the targeted facilities in Iran. Meanwhile, several media outlets reported on Sunday, based on satellite images and expert statements, that the Israeli attacks on Saturday morning included facilities related to ballistic missile fuel in Parchin and Khojir. The Wall Street Journal also reported that Israel first disabled air defenses in Syria and Iraq on Saturday morning and then attacked Iran's air defenses, carrying out operations without challenge "including against Russian S-300 systems protecting Tehran, and systems protecting major oil refineries, a large gas field, and a major port." According to this report, Israel targeted key facilities in Iran's ballistic missile production in the third phase and struck a military target in Parchin. In another part of his speech in the Knesset, Netanyahu stated that Israel is the only barrier to Iran's control over the Middle East and its threats to other parts of the world. He added: "The fundamentalist axis of evil led by Iran is a threat to the destruction of our country and ensnaring other countries in a web it has spread, primarily posing a danger to the West. Iran is trying to stockpile a arsenal of nuclear bombs and will be able to threaten the entire world whenever it wants." The Israeli Prime Minister noted that according to Iran's strategy and mindset, "if Israel falls, the entire Middle East will fall into Iran's hands. But we will not fall. We will prevail, and the whole world will be a better place." Netanyahu indirectly rejected reports suggesting that the U.S. government convinced him to limit the scope of retaliatory attacks on Iran, reiterating: "We make decisions based on our own interests and considerations." He also stated that Israel's strategy towards Iran and its proxy forces is very clear: "Our long-term strategy is to dismantle the axis of evil, cut its arms in the south and north, impose heavy costs on Iran and its proxy groups, and prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons." Regarding the ongoing war in Gaza and Lebanon, Netanyahu said: "In the aftermath of the war, Hamas will no longer govern Gaza, and Hezbollah will not be stationed along our northern borders." Without naming Saudi Arabia, he promised to continue establishing peace with Arab countries. The Israeli Prime Minister vowed to bring all hostages home and fulfill all the objectives he set at the beginning of the Gaza war.
