Senator Lindsey Graham: Make Iran Great Again

Senator Lindsey Graham, a prominent Republican figure in the U.S. Congress, reiterated his strong support for the popular protests in Iran in a new message on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In this message published on Saturday, January 20, 1404 (Persian calendar), he emphasized his pride in President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio 'who support the people of Iran and their protests against repression.' Referring to the 'Make Iran Great Again' (MIGA) hat that he recently showcased alongside President Trump, he stated that according to the President, this hat has clearly become a symbol of support for the protesters. He once again called for 'solidarity' with the Iranian people 'who rightly protest against repression,' writing: 'Make Iran Great Again.' The slogan 'Make Iran Great Again,' based on Donald Trump's famous slogan 'Make America Great Again,' has now become one of the political symbols supporting the Iranian people against the Islamic Republic regime. This message from Senator Graham follows his previous support for protest movements in Iran. A recently published photo of this senior U.S. senator alongside Donald Trump, in which the President is seen wearing a hat with the message 'Make Iran Great Again' and his signature, received widespread media coverage. This action comes as nationwide protests in Iran continue to expand, and the international community closely monitors the developments. On Thursday, January 18, Graham also addressed the 'people of Iran' in a message on X, emphasizing that Donald Trump is different from Obama and that 'while you seek to end your horrific oppression, he will support you.' Graham also referred to the Islamic Republic as a 'brutal religious Nazi regime' and wrote to the regime's leaders: 'To the leadership of this terrorist-supporting regime, the brutal religious Nazi regime: if you continue to kill your people to maintain your sick control over Iran, you will wake up dead.' Lindsey Graham wrote to the regime's leaders: 'If you speak nonsense against President Trump, the price of the consequences is on you.'
