Vafa Ahmadpour's Account: This Imprisoned Rapper Has Developed Diabetes Due to 'Nervous Pressure'

Vafa Ahmadpour's Instagram account has reported that this imprisoned rapper, held in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz, has developed diabetes due to 'nervous, mental, and psychological pressure.' According to the information provided on this page, a recent test indicates that Ahmadpour, known as Vafadar, is diabetic. It is mentioned that if he does not improve after taking his current medications, he will need to use insulin. The use of insulin is typically recommended for patients when diabetes worsens. The page attributed to this artist imprisoned in the 'political-security section' of Adelabad Prison states: 'It is worth mentioning that prisoners under nervous, mental, and psychological pressure tend to consume excessive sugar, which can seriously harm their health.' Vafa Ahmadpour was arrested on May 9 alongside another singer, Danial Moghaddam, after performing the critical song 'Amadeh Bash' against the Islamic Republic. He was tried on July 18 on charges of 'colluding to commit a crime against internal security by cooperating with the regime's opponents.' Ahmadpour could not benefit from conditional release on bail due to the reopening of a previous case in which he was sentenced to one year in prison by the Tehran Revolutionary Court. Vafadar, who was arrested in Bahman 1402 for producing protest art and was later released on bail from Evin Prison, has been sentenced to one year in prison for 'propaganda against the regime.' Danial Moghaddam, his co-defendant, was conditionally released on July 20 on a bail of five billion tomans. Currently, two other protesting singers, Toumaj Salehi and Saman Seydi (Yasin), are in prison. They were previously sentenced to death, but these sentences were later overturned by the Supreme Court. Danial Moghaddam, the protesting rapper, was temporarily released on a bail of five billion tomans. Vafa Ahmadpour, the imprisoned protesting rapper, defended himself against political charges.
