10 Injured in Terrorist Attack in Israel

Israeli media reported on Thursday, March 1, that 10 people were injured in a terrorist attack in the country. According to reports, at least one of the victims is in critical condition. The attacker used a vehicle to run over victims at a bus station located at the "Karkur Junction." The assailant has been identified as a 53-year-old Palestinian citizen from Jenin in the West Bank, who was married to an Arab Israeli citizen and was present in the country without permission. The Israeli police confirmed that this individual has been killed. The terrorist attack occurred just hours after the Israeli Defense Minister reported on Hamas's plotting to carry out terrorist attacks against settlers in the West Bank and Israeli army soldiers. Mr. Katz mentioned the increase in the country's military operations aimed at "destroying Iranian-backed terrorist networks in Judea and Samaria (West Bank)." He noted that the Iranian government has been seeking to establish a terrorist front against Jewish settlers for over two years by providing weapons, funding, and necessary directives for the establishment of terrorist squads. Yisrael Katz added that Israeli army forces will remain in refugee camps, particularly in Jenin and Tulkarm. The first phase of this agreement, which lasts six weeks, will end in the coming days.
