In a later message released by its management, the social media platform explained that one of its employees had deactivated Mr. Trump's account on their last working day, but it was reactivated shortly after (11 minutes). The company further stated that it is conducting more investigations into this matter and will take all necessary actions to prevent its recurrence. Meanwhile, Mr. Trump reacted to this incident on Friday, stating that the disruption of his Twitter account demonstrates how important his messages and positions are on this platform. During the time Mr. Trump's account was inactive, instead of the President's messages and comments, a message was displayed explaining that access to this account is currently not possible. The Daily Telegraph reminded in a report that Mr. Trump is a very active user of Twitter and often expresses his controversial oversight as President through messages. For example, on Wednesday, he called for the death penalty for the perpetrator of a recent attack in New York City, a position that some critics believe could affect the conduct of a fair trial for this criminal. In September, when he wrote in one of his messages, 'Kim Jong Un will not last long,' the North Korean government accused him of declaring war through social media. Nevertheless, Mr. Trump has always defended his use of Twitter, stating that he likely would not have won the presidential election without this tool.
