A Citizen in Sistan and Baluchestan Arrested for 'Laughing'; Charged with 'Disrespect and Insult' to Police

A citizen was arrested for what was described as 'laughing' following an attack by the Jaish al-Adl group on two police vehicles, facing charges of 'disrespect, insulting the police, and inciting public sentiment.' According to reports from Iranian news agencies on Thursday, April 23, an individual who laughed after the attack by the Jaish al-Adl militia on two police vehicles in Sistan and Baluchestan was arrested for allegedly 'insulting and disrespecting' the police and causing 'public sentiment to be hurt,' following the release of his image. ISNA reported, citing the police command of Sistan and Baluchestan, that this citizen was arrested 'on charges of disrespect, insulting the police, and inciting public sentiment.' According to Tasnim news agency, close to the Revolutionary Guards, Dostali Jalilian, the police commander of Sistan and Baluchestan, referred to the arrested citizen as a 'disrespectful individual' and an 'illegal national' who 'mocked and insulted at the scene of the assassination in the city of Sib and Suran' and stated that he 'will be handed over to judicial authorities for legal proceedings after investigations.'
