A Commander of the IRGC: We Have Neutralized 80 Disruption Operations This Year

The commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the identification and neutralization of '80 disruption operations' planned to be executed in Iran this year. According to the official news agency IRNA, Amir Ali Hajizadeh stated that these operations were to be carried out by 'terrorist groups.' He did not name these groups but added that the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are pursuing 'three plans of economic, military, and disruption warfare against Iran' and have resorted to 'terrorist and hypocritical groups' to achieve this. He stated that Iran's intelligence and security forces have successfully thwarted 'most' of their operations with 'timely action,' and only 'three or four percent' of these operations have been 'successful' this year. Mahmoud Alavi, Iran's Minister of Intelligence, has also repeatedly reported the identification and destruction of terrorist teams in various parts of Iran. Meanwhile, this year, in addition to an armed attack on the Army Day parade in Ahvaz, at least 12 Iranian border guards were kidnapped from the Mirjaveh checkpoint in eastern Iran. Following the attack on the parade in Ahvaz, a member of the National Security Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly criticized the security situation at the event, noting that the attackers 'fired for 12 minutes' and 'no one even shot back at them.' In this armed operation, at least 24 people were killed and over 60 injured. Concurrently, the Islamic Republic has also been accused of attempting to carry out terrorist acts abroad, with individuals related to these accusations being detained overseas by Western officials. Iran vehemently denies these accusations, labeling them as a conspiracy by its enemies, including 'Israel.'
