A New Album by Jimi Hendrix with Unreleased Songs to Be Released

A new album by Jimi Hendrix featuring several of his songs recorded between 1968 and 1970, which have not been released until now, will hit the music market within the next three months. According to a report on Wednesday, December 6, by the Associated Press, the record companies 'Experience Hendrix' and 'Legacy' announced that the new album titled 'Both Sides of the Sky' will be released on March 9, 2018. This album contains 13 tracks, 10 of which have never been released before. Jimi Hendrix passed away in 1970 at the age of 27. The upcoming album is considered the third part of a trilogy of this artist in the field of electric guitar playing. The first and second parts of the trilogy were released as 'Valleys of Neptune' in 2010 and 'People, Hell and Angels' in 2013. 'Eddie Kramer,' who worked as a recording engineer on all of Jimi Hendrix's albums during the artist's lifetime, stated in an interview that 1969 was a year 'full of experience' for Hendrix and expressed how surprised he was by the work on his last album. He added, 'As soon as you start listening, your hair stands on end. It is truly a fundamental and excellent work. Imagine, 40 or 50 years have passed, and now you are listening to the album, and you can't believe it. You keep saying to yourself: My God! This work and performance are incredible.' Many of the songs on this album were recorded with 'Band of Gypsies,' which was Hendrix's trio featuring 'Buddy Miles' and 'Billy Cox.' 'Stephen Stills' appears on two tracks of this album titled '20 Dollars is Enough' and 'Woodstock.' Eddie Kramer said, 'Jimi is really delivering his best work in rock. This work is truly amazing.' Mr. Kramer produced this album alongside 'John McDermott' and 'Janie Hendrix,' Jimi Hendrix's sister and president of 'Experience Hendrix.' Eddie Kramer told the Associated Press that 'Both Sides of the Sky' is the last album of this trilogy. However, if someone finds a work by Jimi Hendrix in their home attic, it can always be worked on and prepared for release. He added that several original and live recordings from Hendrix's performances are being recorded, and some videos are also available that are set to be released.
