A 'Suppressed' Economy

The Heritage Foundation, in response to the question of the importance and reasoning behind the annual ranking of countries based on their degree of economic freedoms, refers to economic freedom as a fundamental human right for individuals to control their work and assets. In this economy, individuals can freely choose their methods of production, consumption, and labor, without the presence of limiting or coercive factors that force economic actors to choose a specific method, quantity, or type of production. If we define democracy, with some leniency, as the rule of the people by the people, this democracy in the economic sphere can be seen as the delegation of economic affairs to economic actors.
