ABC Poll: Clinton Leads Trump by 12 Percent

A new poll from ABC News in the United States shows that American voters favor the Democratic candidate by 12 percent more than the Republican candidate. Donald Trump claims the poll results are 'incorrect.' The poll, released on October 24, indicates that among citizens across the United States who will participate in the election, 50 percent support Hillary Clinton, while Donald Trump's supporters reach 38 percent. Gary Johnson from the Libertarian Party has the support of five percent of voters, and Jill Stein from the Green Party has two percent. Poll results typically change until election day, and none of them guarantee a decisive victory for any candidate. The conservative-leaning New York Post states that this is the best result for Hillary Clinton in polls conducted by this network and the Washington Post. The recent poll was conducted after the last debate between Clinton and Trump, a tense debate where both sides harshly criticized each other's policies and behaviors. The release of a controversial tape of Trump's lewd comments about women from 2005, as well as allegations of 'sexual harassment' and 'groping' made by several women in recent days, have impacted public opinion. The ABC poll shows that 69 percent of voters are 'dissatisfied' with Trump's response to the sexual harassment allegations. Trump has strongly denied the allegations, describing them as fabricated by major media in support of his Democratic rival's campaign. He also warned two days ago during a speech that he would sue all accusers after the election. Clinton's support among female voters is significantly higher than Trump's: 55 to 35 percent. Among educated women, this number increases further: 62 to 30. 44 percent of male voters support Clinton, while 41 percent support Trump. Trump's support among 'white voters' is 47 percent, which is four percent more than Clinton. The percentage of white voters with less than a college education supporting Trump is 55 percent, while only 36 percent of them want to vote for Clinton. Trump stated in Naples, Florida, that the poll results are 'not accurate.' The Republican candidate claims his standing in the polls is good. Politico quotes him saying, 'I think our popularity among women is better than among men.' The Republican candidate has reiterated his previous accusations of 'manipulation' and 'fraud,' stating, 'We are in a fraudulent... broken and corrupt system.' American officials and some Republicans have previously criticized and rejected similar accusations from Trump. The United States elections will be held on November 8, and the 45th president will take office in January of next year.
