Abdol Fazl Ghadiani: Khamenei's Desperation is Obvious; The Religious Dictatorship Must Go

Abdol Fazl Ghadiani, a political activist imprisoned in Evin Prison, reacted to recent comments by Ali Khamenei in a letter published by the website 'Kalemeh,' stating: 'Khamenei's desperation in the face of foreign powers is clearly evident from his recent remarks.' In the letter from Evin Prison, Ghadiani wrote: 'Recently, the power-hungry tyrant ruling Iran, Ali Khamenei, attributed the fall of the bloodthirsty dictator of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, to a conspiracy by the U.S. and Israel and the negligence of the Assad regime's security apparatus and army, while he made no mention of the tyranny, repression, and brutal killings of the Syrian people, nor the devastation of the country by the Ba'ath Party.' He added: 'Khamenei promises illusory victory while simultaneously attributing the rapid fall of the Ba'ath regime in Syria to the closure of air and land routes by the U.S. and Israel and the impossibility of sending aid to the Syrian government by the ruling religious dictatorship in Iran. With this statement, he invalidated all the claims of his propaganda apparatus over the years; propaganda that has primarily aimed to boost the morale of the few supporters of the Velayat-e Faqih regime by creating an illusion of power in the region.' Abdol Fazl Ghadiani stated that 'Ali Khamenei is throwing dust in the eyes of the truth,' adding: 'Today, the country is on the brink of war and destruction. In addition to poverty, corruption, inflation, inefficiency, gas and electricity cuts, and social and political repression, the shadow of foreign war also looms over the country. In this critical situation, Ali Khamenei and his illegitimate regime's supporters know very well that they cannot alleviate these calamities even slightly, as the entire foundation of this government is to maintain his personal tyranny.' This political prisoner emphasized: 'The deadlock of the religious dictatorship has so taken the daily lives and future of the Iranian people hostage that any patriotic individual inevitably concludes that the religious dictatorship of Ali Khamenei, the power-hungry tyrant ruling Iran, must go.' Abdol Fazl Ghadiani concluded by stating: 'The demand for Khamenei's departure must be shouted and heard in the streets until he himself submits to leaving power and holding a referendum for changing the Islamic Republic system and establishing a secular democratic republic based on human rights. If he does not comply with such a demand, the Iranian people will eventually pull him down from the throne of power so that they do not witness further destruction of Iran.' Abdol Fazl Ghadiani, who has long been a fierce critic of the Supreme Leader, was sentenced to 10 months in prison in July of this year for propaganda against the regime and was transferred to Evin Prison.
