Abdul Fadl Ghadiani: Khamenei and His Repressive Supporters Are Afraid of People's Awareness

Abdul Fadl Ghadiani, an opponent of the Islamic Republic, reacted to the exile of Saeed Madani from Evin Prison to Damavand Prison by writing: "Ali Khamenei and his repressive supporters are constantly afraid of the awareness and expansion of public knowledge among the people." This critic of Ali Khamenei continued: "Saeed Madani's work as a sociologist and social researcher is solely about enlightening, raising awareness, and showing social harms to the people and fighting against political and religious tyranny. However, after Khamenei's disgraceful defeat in the sham elections of March 11, 2023, and the clearer manifestation of his and his regime's loss of legitimacy, he has intensified his hatred and desire for revenge." Abdul Fadl Ghadiani also wrote: "The power-hungry and oppressive tyrant of Iran and his repressive agents constantly imprison opponents and protesters and attack prisoners in jail to silence them, but the result is the opposite. Saeed Madani and other political prisoners will continue their struggle against tyranny wherever they are and under any conditions, and they will have even more impact." Saeed Madani, a political prisoner, was exiled from Evin Prison to Damavand Prison on Tuesday, April 3, without prior notice. This sociologist and political activist was arrested in May 2022 on charges including 'suspicious foreign contacts' and 'anti-security actions' and was sentenced to 9 years in prison for 'forming and managing anti-regime groups' and 'propaganda against the regime.' While in Evin Prison, he participated in the 'Dialogue for Saving Iran' conference in May 2023 and was again accused of 'gathering and colluding against national security.' In protest against the exile of Saeed Madani and other political prisoners, Sepideh Ghalean announced an 'unlimited hunger strike.' Twenty-one political prisoners criticized the exile of Saeed Madani to Damavand Prison, stating that the rulers are seeking to create a hollow authority. The transfer of Saeed Madani from Evin Prison to Damavand is said to be 'against prison regulations,' according to a lawyer. Sentences for two political activists participating in the virtual 'Dialogue for Saving Iran' conference were confirmed. On the second day of the 'Dialogue for Saving Iran' conference, it was stated that the system must be transcended. Abdul Fadl Ghadiani remarked that participation in elections strengthens the shaky foundations of Ali Khamenei's evil power. He also stated that the next waves of the movement will dismantle the 'corrupt system of the Islamic Republic.'
