In her second match, Zakia Khodadadi faced a powerful Uzbek taekwondo player, which ended in a close result of 4 to 3 in favor of the Uzbek opponent, preventing Zakia from advancing to the semifinals and missing the chance to win a gold medal. The athlete managed to defeat Nurjahan Akinci, the European champion from Turkey, with a score of 9 to 1, and after the Moroccan athlete withdrew from the bronze medal competition due to injury, Zakia Khodadadi succeeded in winning the bronze medal.
