An Extremist Mourner Arrested in Zahedan and One Person Expelled from the Province

Mohammad Marziyeh, the prosecutor of Zahedan, stated on Thursday that an "extremist mourner from Qom" was identified by security forces at Zahedan airport before entering the city and was immediately returned to Qom from the airport. He also mentioned that another "extremist mourner" was arrested. According to IRNA, the prosecutor said: "A religious group in Zahedan was identified and dissolved by the intelligence forces of the Salman Corps and the judiciary, as they were attempting to mislead the thoughts of the people in this city by inviting an extremist mourner from Qom and distributing deviant books and pamphlets during the days of Tasu'a and Ashura of Hossein." Mohammad Marziyeh added: "In this regard, an extremist thinker mourner, who insulted sacred values and was invited to perform programs for this group, was identified by the judiciary and the intelligence center of the Salman Corps at Zahedan airport before entering the city and was immediately returned to Qom from the airport." According to Mehr, the prosecutor of Zahedan emphasized that one of the extremist mourners was arrested and one person was expelled from the province. He added: "Additionally, one of those who intended to distribute and disseminate deviant pamphlets and books was arrested, while the other misled individuals of this group were released after being detained, guided, and obtaining a commitment." According to Tasnim, the prosecutor of Zahedan also stated that these individuals were linked to "extremist personalities and groups" within Shia Islam.
