Arjan Cetin, Suspect in Washington Shooting, Arrested

The Washington state police have announced the arrest of a suspect in a shooting at a shopping center in Washington state that resulted in five deaths. The arrested individual is a 20-year-old named Arjan Cetin. Sergeant Mark Francis, a spokesperson for the Washington state police, posted a picture of the arrested individual on his Twitter account. According to Mr. Francis, police officers apprehended Arjan Cetin on the night of September 25 (Washington time). Five people were killed during the shooting on Friday evening at a shopping center near Seattle, the largest city in Washington state. The police spokesperson had previously stated on Twitter that the shooting occurred at 7 PM on Friday in the city of Burlington, located 100 kilometers from Seattle. The assailant fled the scene after the shooting. It is still unclear what the motive of the arrested suspect was for the shooting and killing of citizens. According to the Washington Post, a spokesperson for the FBI stated on Saturday that while the FBI does not rule out the possibility of the incident being terrorist-related, there is currently no significant evidence or witnesses to support this. Arjan Cetin was arrested in the 'Oak Harbor' area of Washington state, which is about 30 kilometers from the location of the shooting. Local media reported that based on information from Cetin's Facebook page, he is from Adana in southern Turkey. The police have not yet disclosed the suspect's hometown. The Seattle Times reported that one of the victims of the Friday night attack was a 16-year-old girl who had previously suffered from cancer. This marks the fifth mass shooting in Washington state this year.
