Arrest of 'Murder Suspect' Zahra Fakour Sabour; Lawyer: Details are 'Ethical and Confidential'

The lawyer for the case of Zahra Fakour Sabour's death, a cinema and television actress, announced that an individual named 'Mohammad Reza Najati Eslamloo' has been identified and arrested in a special operation as the 'murder suspect' of his client. According to Hossein Shahrokhi, the defense lawyer for the suspicious death case of Zahra Fakour Sabour, the arrest of Mohammad Reza Najati Eslamloo occurred 24 hours after the news of his accusation was published. The lawyer has previously stated that some 'details of the case are ethical and confidential' and involve 'threats and extortion' from Zahra Fakour Sabour. Zahra Fakour Sabour, a 43-year-old actress, passed away on March 1, 2022, hours after being transferred to the hospital. Reports indicate that her husband called emergency services after she did not answer her phone and did not open the door for the building's caretaker. However, emergency efforts to revive Zahra Fakour Sabour, who reportedly had consumed '100 tranquilizer pills,' were unsuccessful, and she died. Mehdi Forouzesh, the head of the forensic medicine department in Tehran, stated at that time that no signs of physical assault were found during the autopsy and specialized examination, but the definitive cause of death would depend on the results of toxicology and pathology tests. Zahra Fakour Sabour was the second actress and television personality whose death in 2022 was labeled as 'suicide.' Prior to her, Azadeh Namdari, a television presenter, died in April of the same year. Azadeh Namdari's father emphasized at her funeral that 'my daughter was not depressed.'
