Atakeh Rajabi, a former imprisoned teacher, reported 'increased pressures' and surveillance on Farzaneh Ghareh Hasanlou in Mashhad prison. This teachers' rights activist noted in an Instagram post, referring to her own imprisonment in Mashhad, where Farzaneh Ghareh Hasanlou is held, that there is always someone next to you preventing communication with other prisoners. This dismissed teacher emphasized the additional restrictions against Farzaneh Ghareh Hasanlou, including exile imprisonment and deprivation of family visits, stating: 'In prison, she is under surveillance in a different way; they exert pressure and harass her.' Mohsen Bayat, Farzaneh Ghareh Hasanlou's lawyer, reported in April of this year a two-week ban on contact and a three-month visitation ban for his client due to a voice message congratulating the New Year. In the case of the killed Basij member, Rouhollah Ajmiyan, Farzaneh Ghareh Hasanlou was sentenced to five years in prison in Mashhad, while her husband, Hamid Ghareh Hasanlou, received a 15-year sentence in Yazd. They have repeatedly denied the charges against them in this case. Atakeh Rajabi described Farzaneh Ghareh Hasanlou, stating: 'If someone wants to deeply understand the meaning of peace, friendship, love, and patience, it is enough to talk to Farzaneh for just a few days.' Numerous reports from activists and human rights organizations indicate an increase in pressures on political prisoners by the Islamic Republic. Mahmoud Amiri Moghaddam, director of Iran Human Rights, believes that the Islamic Republic uses prison conditions as additional pressure against prisoners. Officials at Evin prison 'prevent treatment and the issuance of a non-custodial sentence' for Reza Aghdasi.
