Bail Set at One Billion Tomans for Abdollah Rezai, Teachers' Union Activist

The Coordination Council of Iranian Teachers' Trade Unions announced on Tuesday, March 11, the holding of a session to inform Abdollah Rezai, a teachers' union activist, of his charges at the Revolutionary Court of Harsin, stating that he was temporarily released on a bail of one billion tomans after being informed of the charges. According to the report, Mr. Rezai, a board member of the Harsin Teachers' Trade Association, is accused of propaganda against the regime through holding illegal gatherings, and his case has been referred to the sixteenth branch of the Kermanshah Prosecutor's Office for further legal proceedings. The council noted that this teachers' union activist was summoned following a complaint from the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Kermanshah Province. The Coordination Council of Iranian Teachers' Trade Unions condemned this case fabrication, emphasizing that pursuing union demands is not a crime and that no teacher should face prosecution, arrest, or imprisonment for defending their rights.
