Biden: Missiles from 'a terrorist group in Gaza' caused the hospital explosion; Israel is never alone

He stated that in this attack by the 'terrorist' group Hamas, more than 1,300 people were killed, including at least 31 American citizens. He mentioned that hundreds of young people present at a peace festival were shot, dozens of innocent individuals were taken hostage, children and infants were slaughtered, and in some cases, entire families were massacred. Referring to 'rape, beheading, and burning people alive' during the Hamas terrorist attack, he said Hamas committed crimes reminiscent of the worst atrocities of ISIS and spread an 'absolute evil' in the world. According to Biden, this terrorist attack has no justification or excuse. The U.S. President added that this brutality left a deep wound in Israel and became the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. He continued that this event revived painful memories and wounds associated with a thousand-year-old anti-Semitism and the massacre of Jews. The U.S. President noted that the world was watching at that time and did nothing, but today and tomorrow and never again will we 'sit idly by.' He told the families of the hostages that they are not alone and that the United States, along with its partners in the region, is working to ensure their safe return. Joe Biden emphasized, 'For me as President of the United States, there is no priority higher than the freedom and safe return of the hostages.' Biden expressed condolences to the grieving individuals and families, stating that the memory of the victims of this attack will never fade. He further said that terrorists will never be able to 'break your will.' In another part of his speech, he praised the cooperation and empathy of Israelis in helping the victims and those affected. Biden stated that Israel must once again become a safe place for Jews, and the U.S. will work tirelessly to achieve that. According to Biden, the United States has been working for decades to maintain Israel's qualitative military superiority, and in this regard, he will ask the U.S. Congress later this week to approve an unprecedented military aid package for Israel's defense. The U.S. President said his country will always provide the necessary equipment for the Iron Dome system to save Israeli lives. Joe Biden, referring to the deployment of the Eisenhower and Ford strike groups to the region, once again warned 'any hostile government or actor' thinking of attacking Israel, saying, 'My message is the same as I said last week: don't do it.' The U.S. President clarified that a large portion of Palestinians are not Hamas, and Hamas does not represent Palestinians. He noted that Hamas uses Palestinians as human shields and places its operational centers, weapons, and tunnels in residential areas. Joe Biden expressed his regret over the massive casualties at the Gaza hospital, stating that these casualties resulted from a mistake caused by rocket fire from 'a terrorist group in Gaza.' He said the United States supports the protection of civilians during conflicts. Biden, highlighting the needs of the people of Gaza for water, medicine, food, and shelter, stated that he has asked the Israeli government to agree to send humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, and Israel has agreed to send aid from Egypt to Gaza. Joe Biden warned that if Hamas steals this aid, it will once again show that it cares nothing for the welfare of Palestinians, and the residents of Gaza will face a halt in aid from the international community.
