In conclusion, the U.S. Secretary of State expressed hope that this Nowruz would herald lasting peace, health, prosperity, and happiness for all people worldwide. Earlier, President Joe Biden, in a message for the Iranian New Year, stated: "The United States will continue to stand with the brave women of Iran who are fighting for their freedoms." He described Nowruz, alongside First Lady Jill Biden, as "a time for reflection, renewal, and rebirth" and congratulated "the millions who celebrate it," adding: "This year, Nowruz arrives at a difficult time for many, when hope is needed more than ever, and the United States, in addition to standing with the brave and freedom-seeking women of Iran, will hold the officials of the Islamic Republic accountable for ignoring the fundamental human rights of the people of Iran."
