Additionally, records from Menendez's personal computer show that he was searching for the "price of one kilogram of gold" in 2022. This is not the first time Bob Menendez has faced corruption charges; he was accused of financial corruption in 2016, but the court did not reach a conclusion. The senior Democratic senator from New Jersey temporarily stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last Friday after being charged with corruption.
