Case in Detention; Mohammad Nourizad Sentenced to Two More Years in Prison

Mohammad Nourizad, a civil activist imprisoned in Evin Prison, has been sentenced to two more years in prison due to a case that was recently opened against him during his incarceration. According to the human rights news agency HRANA, Mr. Nourizad was sentenced to one year in prison for the charge of 'propaganda against the regime' and another year for 'destruction of the door and window of the head of the ward', which, under Article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code, means only the harsher punishment of one year in prison will be enforced.
