Changes in Sunak's Cabinet; Home Secretary Departs, David Cameron Returns

Reuters notes that Cameron's return to government indicates Sunak's intention to appease the moderate wing of his party rather than the right wing that supports Braverman. Another change in Sunak's government is the resignation of Therese Coffey, the UK Environment Secretary, on Monday. Sunak thanked Coffey for her services in a letter responding to her resignation. These changes come ahead of the upcoming general elections in the UK, where the Labour Party is significantly ahead in polls compared to the Conservative Party, and Sunak has been unable to close this gap.
