Chinese Company Alibaba Unveils New Version of Its AI Model

Chinese technology company Alibaba unveiled a new version of its AI model named "Kuan 2.5" on Wednesday, February 1, claiming it is more complete than the new version of the AI model "DeepSik-V3." Recently, the release of the cheaper AI version "DeepSik" as a competitor to "ChatGPT," owned by the American company Apple, was one of the most significant news in the technology sector. The launch of the new AI model "Kuan 2.5-Max" on the first day of the Chinese New Year, when most Chinese people are on holiday celebrating with their families, is a sign of intense competition among Chinese and international companies in the market. Alibaba's cloud unit stated that the new version "Kuan 2.5-Max" has better capabilities and performance than "ChatGPT," "DeepSik-V3," and "Llama-3.1-404b" made by Meta. The release of the AI assistant "DeepSik," supported by the model "DeepSik-V3," along with model "R1," caused a stir in Silicon Valley, the center of modern technologies in the U.S., leading to a drop in the stock values of leading AI companies in the region.
