Clash of the Revolutionary Guards with an Armed Group in Saravan

The Revolutionary Guards announced that following a clash between their forces and an armed group opposing the Islamic Republic in Saravan County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, one guard was killed and another was injured. According to the report, the Revolutionary Guards were present in the area for 'further inspections' when a vehicle left behind by this group was detonated using a remote control device. The public relations of the Revolutionary Guards reported that in this incident, a guard named Hassan Jazini was killed and another guard was injured, who is in 'poor condition.' Fars News Agency mentioned him as Lieutenant Hassan Jazini Zadeh from the village of Jazeen Bam, who was serving in the 'operational axis of Seyed al-Shohada of the 41st Tharallah Division of Kerman.' This report referred to the mentioned armed group as a 'terrorist group' but did not provide further details about the name or characteristics of this group. Saravan County has repeatedly been the scene of clashes between the Jaish al-Adl group and the Revolutionary Guards. Jaish al-Adl claims to defend the rights of Sunnis, especially in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, but the Iranian government considers this group terrorist and linked to the intelligence forces of Saudi Arabia and the United States. In recent years, this county has repeatedly been the scene of clashes between Iranian security forces and armed opposition groups, resulting in dozens of deaths on both sides. For instance, on the morning of Sunday, December 21, two members of the Revolutionary Guards' engineering forces were injured due to the explosion of a landmine in the 'Kohak' area in Saravan. Meanwhile, the Revolutionary Guards announced on Sunday, September 21, that their forces killed the leader of a nine-member group from 'Jaish al-Adl' and three others in an attack in Saravan, injuring at least two more. The public relations of the Revolutionary Guards also reported on Tuesday, September 30, the arrest of two Pakistani nationals in the 'Kalegan' area of Saravan, who were said to have entered Iran for 'sabotage and creating an atmosphere of terror and fear.'
