The Committee Monitoring the Status of Detainees reported on Wednesday, September 29, that based on information and reports received, at least 600 women were arrested by government agents on September 25. This committee stated that currently, 130 of these individuals are in quarantine at Qarchak women's prison awaiting clarification of their status. According to the report, families of some detainees say that most of the arrested were released from police custody after signing commitments, and the cases of the women currently in Qarchak prison have been sent to the prosecutor's office. Reports indicate that in Yazd province, in the city of Abarkuh, at least 12 young protesters who participated in the protest gathering on the evening of September 25 were arrested at night in their homes. Javad Hashemi Mehr, the political and security deputy of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad governor, also stated that on Saturday night, September 25, 15 individuals, including 13 men and 2 women, were reported arrested in Dehdasht. The newspaper Shargh also reported on Sunday, September 26, that the number of detainees at the time of their report, based on official statistics, was 260. Meanwhile, Rahim Jahangir, the police chief of West Azerbaijan province, announced on Saturday evening, coinciding with the anniversary of Mahsa Amini, the arrest of 137 individuals on charges of 'disturbing public opinion in cyberspace.' The state news agency IRNA also reported, quoting Mohsen Karimi, commander of the IRGC in Markazi province, that 20 citizens were arrested in this province. The government agents of the Islamic Republic had arrested a large number of citizens across Iran before the first anniversary of the killing of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini.
