Condemnation of the Secretary-General of the Iranian Teachers' Organization; From Imprisonment and Travel Ban to Social Restrictions

The Secretary-General of the Iranian Teachers' Organization has been sentenced to six months of imprisonment, a fine, a travel ban, and social restrictions based on a ruling issued by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran. According to this ruling, the six-month imprisonment of Tahereh Naghi'i has been suspended for five years. The ruling states that the Secretary-General of the Iranian Teachers' Organization has been fined 1.5 million tomans. Her supplementary punishments include a five-year travel ban, a five-year prohibition on membership in political and social groups, and a five-year ban on using a smartphone except for work-related purposes. On Sunday, June 11, a court session was held to address the charges against Tahereh Naghi'i in Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.
