Conflicting Reports on the Attack by Islamic Republic Forces on a Village in Khash

Following reports of a woman being killed and several others injured during a government forces attack on a village in Khash, Islamic Republic sources announced that 'several members of the Jaish al-Adl group' were arrested in this operation. However, two media outlets monitoring news from Sistan and Baluchestan have denied this claim. Reports regarding the details of the attack, which occurred on Monday, August 8, are contradictory. While the 'Baloch Activists Campaign' and 'Halosh' stated that 'Baloch villagers' were targeted in this attack, government sources claim that the operation was conducted to arrest members of Jaish al-Adl, and several of them were detained. The Baloch Activists Campaign reported that the deceased in the village of 'Qaderabad' in Khash was 'a 50-year-old Baloch woman,' and 'three citizens, one of whom was a teenager,' were injured. Meanwhile, 'Halosh' reported that the number of injured was 'eight.' The Mehr News Agency also published a video reporting that Islamic Republic military forces 'arrested four members' of the armed militia group Jaish al-Adl during this operation in Qaderabad village in Khash. Meanwhile, Halosh and the Baloch Activists Campaign denied this news, stating that the security and military forces of the Islamic Republic attacked Qaderabad village in Khash, shooting at the residents while searching houses and killing one woman. In the report by the Baloch Activists Campaign, the identity of the deceased woman is given as 'Zalikhah Gomoshadzehi,' and the identities of the injured are reported as 'Allah-Bakhsh Gomoshadzehi, 35 years old, Mobin Gomoshadzehi, 16 years old, and Masri Gomoshadzehi,' along with 'another citizen identified as Ghafour.' On the other hand, Halosh detailed that 'the Merasad intelligence and military forces' attacked Qaderabad village on Monday 'around 2 PM with at least 20 vehicles, after searching' some residents' houses, 'they opened fire.' The report states that 'military forces prevented the ambulance from entering to transfer the injured to the hospital.' Additionally, the identity of the individual reportedly killed during this attack or those injured is not mentioned in the Halosh report. Furthermore, video reports indicate that on Tuesday, August 9, government forces stormed two villages in Zahedan, destroying several houses. The 'Halosh' website, which follows news related to Sistan and Baluchestan, reported that 'hundreds of military forces' stormed 'dozens of residential homes of Baloch citizens' in the two villages of 'Seyedabad and Shirzii' in Zahedan, and 'as of five hours later, the demolition operation is still ongoing' with 'dozens' of houses having been destroyed. The report cites 'local residents' stating that 'hundreds of natural resources and military forces' with 'dozens of personal and organizational vehicles' stormed the two villages of Seyedabad and Shirzii around 4 AM, 'evicting residents from their homes and using bulldozers and tools like hammers and picks to demolish.' Some villagers told Halosh that 'the lands of this village belong to us residents, and from these lands come our water and ancestors, as our fathers have lived in these villages for years, and their destruction in the name of natural resources is considered a violation of our rights as residents.' Halosh emphasized that in recent years, numerous reports have emerged regarding 'the destruction of residential homes of indigenous Baloch people by state and military forces of the Islamic Republic to advance political and security objectives.'
