Continuation of 'Barter Economy Management' in Iran; Development of 'Imam' Airport Assigned to the Chinese

The CEO of Imam Airport City announced the start of construction operations for a new terminal at Imam Airport based on oil barter with the Chinese from the end of September. According to the report, Saeed Chalendari discussed the latest status of negotiations with the Chinese for the construction of the new terminal, stating: 'Several domestic and foreign companies expressed readiness to build the new terminal, but ultimately we chose the best company, which is a Chinese firm.' He explained the financing method for the Chinese company for the construction of the second phase of the airport, saying: 'Financing will be done through oil barter, under which about 2.5 to 3 billion euros will be bartered, and the executive operations for the new terminal in the second phase of the airport's development will likely begin from the end of September.'
