Continued Security Clashes in Zahedan; One Teacher from Makki Mosque Arrested

The website "Halosh" reported the arrest of one of the teachers of "Darololum" at Makki Mosque in Zahedan by military forces at his residence. This news site, which covers news from the Sistan and Baluchestan region, stated: "The identity of the arrested cleric is Akbar Bidel, and he has been transferred to an unknown location by security forces." In this context, the human rights organization "Hangav" announced on Saturday, October 21, that it had identified 24 of the detainees from the protest in Zahedan on October 20, noting that five children and adolescents under 18 were among them. However, the Halosh website reported that security forces, after surrounding Makki Mosque following the start of the people's protests, "charged" towards them, injuring many citizens of all ages and severely beating children, with over 500 individuals reportedly being "severely beaten" and transferred to an unknown location in buses that had been prepared in advance.
