Contradictory Statements About Teacher's 'Order' to 'Beat' a Student

About a week after reports emerged regarding the beating of a student by classmates on the teacher's orders, the forensic organization has yet to announce its expert opinion on the matter. On May 5, the local website 'Hanjas' reported, citing a hospital staff member in 'Kohdasht' county, about the assault on a student from 'Namjou' school in the 'Oulad Qabad' district of this county. The site published images of a boy named 'Ali' showing wounds and bruises on his face and body. Despite the publication of this news and images, Hassan Reza Barkhari, the head of education in 'Kohdasht', denied the report in an interview with 'Hanjas'. However, the student insists that he was beaten. The school teacher also swore that he did not 'beat' the student and quoted Ali's father as saying that he has 'allergies to flowers and plants in this season [spring]'. One day after the news broke, the local site 'Kanoon Sobhan' quoted Mr. Barkhari stating that 'the marks on the child's body were related to seasonal illness, not due to the teacher beating him'. This official also mentioned that 'the appearance of the case shows that this student had a fight with his classmates as well'. The confirmation of a fight by the head of education in 'Kohdasht' led to the involvement of the 'Tasnim' news agency in the matter. This agency reported that the student's case had been sent to the forensic organization, but nearly a week later, no official report from this organization has been published. In this report, Ali Mohammadi, a first-grade student, stated that 'because I wrote my homework poorly, the teacher beat me with a stick, cable, and metal ruler'. According to this student, 'the teacher hit my hands with a cable and my back with a wire and metal ruler, and I have been in the hospital for two days now'. Ayoub Mohammadi, the student's uncle from Kohdasht, also stated that 'this teacher has always beaten the children, to the extent that Ali's father has gone to the school several times to warn the teacher not to bother his son'. The uncle further added, 'When the teacher beats Ali to the point of near death, he locks the classroom door and asks all the students to beat him, saying that if any student does not hit, they will be punished themselves'. Ayoub Mohammadi also recounted that 'after Ali is beaten by his classmates, the teacher, because the students' hits were not strong enough, goes and brings a second-grade student to beat Ali in the class'. The uncle added, 'After beating Ali, they leave him at the school, during which two high school girls see him and take him home'. Ali Ghorbani, the public relations manager of the education department in Lorestan province, also stated that 'this issue is somewhat ambiguous because the published images show the appearance of the case'. Mr. Ghorbani added, 'I spoke with the relevant teacher who strongly denied any beating of this student'. He also mentioned that 'there are hidden issues behind this case that require time to clarify, so we can announce a definitive result in the coming days'. This official added, 'If we truly conclude that the teacher made a mistake, action will be taken against him, and if the opposite is proven, action will be taken against the claimants'. Ehsan Jahaniyan, the governor of 'Kohdasht' county, also stated that 'unfortunately, there has been some unethical behavior in this matter as the news was published without scientific investigation'. According to him, 'the marks on this student's body do not resemble bruises from a beating as they are not wounds'. The confirmations and denials regarding the 'Namjou' school incident continue, and the parties involved are awaiting the official report from the forensic organization.
