Deliberate Runover by Government Forces' Vehicle; Another Kolbar Killed

According to the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Rasool Gagashi, a 50-year-old Kurdish kolbar and father of five, was "deliberately" run over by a vehicle of the Border Guard forces in Baneh during a chase on Saturday evening, August 5, and died. The body of this kolbar from Sardasht is being kept at Saladin Ayoubi Hospital in Baneh and has not yet been handed over to his family. Meanwhile, another Kurdish kolbar named Hoshyar Amini, from the village of Dosineh in the Baneh region of Kurdistan, was killed on Thursday evening, August 3, as a result of direct gunfire from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeting a group of kolbars. According to Kolbarnews, in the first six months of this year, 11 Kurdish kolbars have been killed and 50 others injured in the border areas of West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Kermanshah provinces. Statistics from Kolbarnews indicate that 42 of the total 61 kolbars killed and injured during this period were targeted by direct fire from the military forces of the Islamic Republic. A kolbar was killed by direct fire from the Border Guard forces in the Bistam border area. A young kolbar died after being "run over by a Border Guard vehicle" in a hospital in Saqqez. The bodies of two kolbars from Saqqez were discovered after nine days; they had escaped from a "wide ambush" by the IRGC. A 19-year-old was killed in Baneh "by IRGC agents." Mohiuddin Ebrahimi, a jailed kolbar, was executed.
