A number of prominent financial supporters of the Democratic Party in the United States are preparing a letter in support of Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States, to enter the presidential election campaign next year and compete against Hillary Clinton. The letter from these Democratic Party financial supporters states: "We publicly announce our support for Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States, to participate in the presidential election today. We ask him to enter this competition and hereby also declare our commitment to financially support Mr. Biden if he agrees." These supporters praised what they called the "remarkable successes" of the Obama-Biden administration, stating that the current U.S. government has been able to achieve success in important matters such as job creation, unemployment, social security, and ending the presence in Iraq and Afghanistan. In another part of the letter, it states: "To complete the work that has begun, America needs leadership that is respected both domestically and internationally and understands the real challenges facing the people. In our opinion, Joe Biden should be the next President of the United States. If he participates in this competition, we will all support him. We know he will win this election." According to Reuters, Joe Biden has not explicitly stated whether he will participate in the upcoming presidential election, and he has sent mixed messages so far. The report notes that after the death of his son, he showed serious doubts about running for election during a public speech. Beau Biden, the son of the Vice President of the United States, passed away in June of this year due to brain cancer. Reuters adds that Joe Biden, as Vice President, is scheduled to visit California, Michigan, and Ohio next week, three states that are very important in the U.S. presidential election. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State and wife of Bill Clinton, announced her candidacy for the Democratic Party's election campaign in April. According to Reuters, issues such as Hillary Clinton's use of a private server while serving as Secretary of State have created controversy for her. Reports from U.S. media indicate that reports regarding Mrs. Clinton's failure to protect government information could negatively impact her position in the upcoming presidential election.
