Disclosure of the Abbreviated Identities of Arrested Actors

The conservative website 'Jam News' published the abbreviated identities of seven actors, one singer, and one football player arrested in the 'Saadat Abad' area of Tehran. This website reported on Sunday, May 8, that these individuals, who were arrested a few nights ago at a 'night party,' are currently free on bail. The individuals identified are: 'A.H' (male actor), 'N.K' (female actor), 'K.D' (male actor), 'M.A' (female actor), 'H.N' (male actor), 'A.J' (female actor), 'S.Q' (female actor), 'A.A' (singer), and 'M.M' (football player from a prominent team in Tehran). According to Jam News, all these individuals are free on bail until their cases are reviewed by a special prosecutor in the Cultural Court and an indictment is issued. The news of the arrest of these seven actors was first reported by the 'Mizan' news agency, affiliated with the judiciary, citing an informed source. This news agency did not mention the names of the actors but stated that they are well-known figures in cinema who were arrested at a 'mixed night party.' The news agency also reported that 80 bottles of alcoholic beverages were confiscated from this party. Hossein Nooshabadi, the spokesman for the Ministry of Culture, previously confirmed the news of the arrest of these seven actors, expressing that he felt 'sorry' and 'worried' upon hearing this news. Nooshabadi added that 'artists should not question their identity and auction off their position for a few moments of fun.' The newspaper 'Javan,' affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, also published a critical note stating that 'an effort to discover the names of these individuals has begun on social media.' This newspaper wrote that 'knowing who was at the night party has taken precedence over understanding the cultural roots that lead cinema actors to special parties accompanied by alcoholic beverages.' The Jam News website published the abbreviated identities of the arrested actors just two days after this note was released. Gholamhossein Esmaeili, the head of the Tehran judiciary, stated last Wednesday that 'cultural supervision' over the country's athletes and artists should be increased and suggested that the crime prevention department of the judiciary should enter this area. In this context, on May 5, Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi, the Tehran prosecutor, expressed regret over the death of an athlete in Iran following the use of alcoholic beverages. Mr. Dolatabadi stated that 'we are warning the Ministry of Sports about the crime of drinking alcohol, which unfortunately has recently led to some incidents and even deaths.' Last year, Sosha Makani, the goalkeeper of the Persepolis football team in Tehran, was arrested for a period following the release of his private photos on social media.
