According to this news agency, before the match between Iran and Chinese Taipei, Negin Shirateri did not respond to the coaching staff's calls and 'everything fell apart an hour before the match.' Fars News reported that this player, who was the team's main setter, claimed she could not participate due to illness. The second setter also suffered an injury during the game. However, upon the team's return to the hotel, Fars News reported that 'no signs of illness were seen on Shirateri's face,' raising suspicions that she feigned illness to avoid playing. After the national team's return to Iran, Simin Sedighi, who was in charge of the women's team, submitted her report to the federation, leading to the players' disqualifications. Fars News stated that the reasons for the disqualifications of Shaghayegh Shafie and Mona Ramazani were due to physical altercations.
