The former U.S. president began his speech by referencing the assassination attempt on July 13, stating that he realized the situation was serious at that moment, but he felt a strong sense of security because he had God by his side. He expressed gratitude for the love and concern of the people who stood by him during those moments, saying that as soon as the Secret Service lifted him, he raised his hand to signal that he was okay. The Republican nominee for the November 5, 2024 election honored the firefighter who was shot and killed during the attack against him and reiterated that divisions must be healed. Trump viewed the upcoming election as an opportunity to restore greatness, power, and success to America, expressing confidence in his victory and stating that he would fight with all his might to achieve this goal. The former U.S. president called on his Democratic rivals to set aside differences and help promote unity in the country, stating that we all must move America forward together. He emphasized that there will be no victory if the president represents only half of the people, and by stating that he wants to be the president of all Americans, he proudly accepted the nomination.
