Examination of Mousavi and Rahnavard by Health Minister

The daughter of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard announced that the Minister of Health visited her parents and conducted examinations, issuing necessary medical orders. According to the Kaleme website and one of Mr. Mousavi and Mrs. Rahnavard's daughters, the meeting and examination by Hassan Hashemi, the Minister of Health, occurred after their announcement regarding the critical condition of their parents. Mr. Mousavi's child stated, "Until we visit ourselves and hear explanations from our parents, we do not exactly know what has happened." She added, "Mr. Hashemi [the Minister of Health] informed us via phone that he went there with the attending physician and necessary examinations were conducted, and medical recommendations were also communicated." One of Mir Hossein Mousavi's daughters further stated, "According to the Minister, part of the tests will be conducted at the scheduled time, and necessary medications have also been prescribed; they also mentioned that from now on, heart examinations for our father will be conducted more frequently." The daughter of Mrs. Rahnavard pointed out that "the results of tests that were hidden from our parents and us have also been viewed by him through our news," and said, "Although since the tests were conducted by the physician and security agents, we are not confident about their accuracy and results." This daughter of Zahra Rahnavard and Mir Hossein Mousavi also described her parents' mental condition as "very good." She continued, "We thank God that despite the restrictions and oppression that exist and the difficult conditions prevailing in this house arrest, the most important of which is the complete communication cut-off and lack of access to our loved ones by medical staff, and despite the concerning negligence of the Ministry of Intelligence's physician, our loved ones are currently in a situation where, with normal medical care, God willing, the problem will be resolved." The daughter of Mir Hossein Mousavi stated, "We are waiting to meet our parents and ask for details," announcing, "For now, our news is limited to the fact that Mr. Hashemi called us and gave us hope that the matter is being pursued and that he immediately visited the place of house arrest after the announcement was published." She added, "The fact that our parents are under the care of a physician has provided us with some peace of mind." The absolute house arrest of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard, according to Mr. Mousavi and Mrs. Rahnavard's child, is a "complete house arrest" and they "have no communication with the inside of the house arrest throughout the week." Mrs. Mousavi emphasized, "The only people who have access to news about the house arrest and can bring news other than us throughout the week are security agents." She also stated, "Given the past directed news fabrications, we have repeatedly emphasized the necessity of having a centralized source for our news and clarified that we only publish news in Kaleme based on our documentation and observations to avoid incorrect news with the suspicion of other intentions being transmitted to the audience in this situation." Mrs. Mousavi further pointed out that due to the very critical conditions witnessed during the meeting, they felt the need to share the problem with the public in a statement. According to Mr. Mousavi's child, "During the meeting, a concerning and dangerous situation arose for a moment, and our mother's swallowing issue and gastrointestinal discomfort were very worrying." She added, "For this reason, and since we cannot reach anywhere, we informed in that manner, which fortunately had an effect and was immediately noticed." In the statement published by Narges, Kokab, and Zahra Mousavi Khameneh, which was posted on the Kaleme website a few days ago, they referred to the "deliberate negligence in following up on their father's heart treatment" and "the delay in conducting routine heart check-ups, which resembles an attempt on his life," stating, "The only response given was that we do not follow up more than once every six months, and this important issue has currently been postponed to an unspecified time in Farvardin next year." The Mousavi children wrote in this statement that "over the past five years, including the last two years, we have witnessed instances such as the lack of follow-up on treatment and the destruction of information regarding medical orders from the hospital system and other matters that we will inform the public about with relevant documents when the conditions are appropriate." The statement also mentioned the "change in the direction of cameras towards the bedroom of the detained." In the statement regarding the "change in the position of the existing cameras in the house arrest area," it was written: "The lenses of the cameras have been directed towards the inside of the house's rooms to shamelessly, unlawfully, and unethically document the private life of Zahra Rahnavard and Mir Hossein Mousavi, which also faced a sharp protest from Zahra Rahnavard and denial from the head of the guards." Mir Hossein Mousavi, Zahra Rahnavard, and Mehdi Karroubi, leaders of the protesters against the results of the 2009 presidential election, have been under house arrest without trial since late 2010. The families of these three individuals have repeatedly expressed concern about their physical condition over the years.
