Ukraine reports that on the second day of Russian airstrikes in Kharkiv, at least one person was killed and four others wounded. Russian officials also announced that four people were killed in Ukrainian drone and missile attacks. The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that its air defense shot down 33 Ukrainian drones overnight over the western regions of Bryansk, Smolensk, Lipetsk, and Tula near the Russian border with Ukraine. Additionally, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region in Russia, reported that one person was killed and three others wounded due to the attack of three Ukrainian drones on the city of Grayvoron at the Ukraine border. In Ukraine, local officials reported on Sunday that a new Russian attack on Kharkiv left at least one dead and four wounded. Igor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, stated that the city was targeted by a guided bomb. The Sunday attacks by the Ukrainian army followed a Russian airstrike on Saturday afternoon with four bombs on a five-story residential building in Kharkiv, which resulted in the deaths of three citizens. Ole Sinegubov, the regional governor, stated that 41 people are still receiving treatment for injuries. Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, in a video speech after the attack, called on Ukraine's partners to strengthen the country's air defense. Zelensky stated, 'Modern air defense systems – such as Patriots, rapid training of our pilots to operate F-16 fighters – and most importantly, sufficient range of weapons, are truly essential for Ukraine.' In another report, Mykola Olshchuk, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, stated that two people were injured due to the fall of two Russian missiles over the Kyiv region in the past 24 hours. Vadim Filashkin, the governor of the partially occupied Donetsk region in Ukraine, also reported that Russian attacks on Saturday left two dead and four wounded.
