The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, responded on Wednesday to the Islamic Republic's test of the "Fattah" missile, stating to the Persian section of Voice of America: "We are fully prepared to counter and deter any threats." The British government also reacted on Tuesday to the Islamic Republic's claim regarding the construction of the "Fattah" hypersonic missile, stating that this action constitutes "a violation of international restrictions and reflects a serious threat from the Iranian regime to global security." A spokesperson for the British Foreign Office stated: "Iran, despite repeated requests from the UN Security Council to halt its destabilizing programs, has announced the construction of a new ballistic missile, and the timing of this announcement just weeks after Iran's claim of a successful ballistic missile launch indicates this country's ongoing disregard for international restrictions and poses a serious threat to global security." The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps unveiled the Fattah missile on Tuesday morning, in the presence of President Ebrahim Raisi, after several days of propaganda and hype. The IRGC also claimed that this hypersonic missile can neutralize all air defense systems, including "THAAD, Arrow, Patriot, Aegis, GBI, Iron Dome, David's Sling, and Barak," and boasts "excellent maneuverability and very high speed" due to its new generation of solid fuel and "explosive conical warhead." According to the commanders of this military force, the missile has a range of 1,400 kilometers. Houshang Hassan-Yari stated: "China and Russia will not easily provide hypersonic missile development technology to Iran."
