Exclusive; Continuation of the Islamic Republic's 'Intimidation Policy' in Europe; Two Iranian Opponents on the 'Assassination List' of a Suspect in the Netherlands

Following the announcement of the arrest of a suspect in the failed assassination of a Spanish politician in European media, Voice of America investigations revealed that this individual is linked to the Islamic Republic and had two Iranians on his assassination list. According to Voice of America, the suspect, currently in custody of the Dutch police, is named Mohraz Ayari, a French-Tunisian citizen who recently converted to Shia Islam. Last November, he attempted to assassinate Spanish politician Vidal Quadras in Madrid and intended to also kill 'Siamak Tadin' and 'Shahin Lou', Iranian opponents of the Islamic Republic residing in Europe. Siamak Tadin, one of the targets of Mohraz Ayari, told Voice of America: 'I have received many threats for a year and was placed under police protection, but the intensity of these threats increased two months ago, and a month ago, individuals attempted to enter my house, which the police were unable to apprehend at that time. However, on June 7, their renewed attempt to enter my house led to the arrest of the suspects due to my vigilance and the police's assistance.' He added: 'One of the arrested suspects is wanted by Interpol and has been involved in several other assassinations and murders.' Shahin Lou, another Iranian opponent of the Islamic Republic residing in Europe, also told Voice of America: 'After learning about the attack on Siamak Tadin's house, I was placed under police protection and moved to a safe house.' Expressing dissatisfaction with his security situation, he added: 'The attackers on Tadin's house and the planners of our assassination are members of mafia groups that are connected to the Islamic Republic and have previously committed assassinations.' According to Voice of America, in addition to Mohraz Ayari, one of his accomplices and an Iranian woman have also been arrested, with the woman responsible for providing funds and financing the terrorist attackers. Voice of America's investigations in this regard continue to seek details of the case through contacts with Interpol and the Dutch police.
