Exclusive; End of Leave and Return of Majid Khademi, Political Prisoner, to Behbahan Prison

A knowledgeable source informed Voice of America that Majid Khademi, a political prisoner who had been on leave for a week, was returned to Behbahan Prison on Tuesday morning, December 5. Majid Khademi, who had previously been imprisoned from 2019 to 2021 under 'temporary detention', was sentenced to '10 years in prison', of which 'six years and three months are enforceable', and in the summer of this year, he was again sentenced in a new case to more than four years in prison and 45 lashes. This political prisoner announced last Wednesday that he had come on leave for 'seven days' after posting a bail of five billion tomans and guaranteeing four salary slips. Majid Khademi was first arrested in January 2020 by the Ministry of Intelligence. At the time of his arrest, he was a final-year undergraduate student at Azad University in Behbahan, but afterward, he was 'banned from studying'. According to a previous report by Voice of America, in the second case in Branch 102 of the Criminal Court in Behbahan, Khuzestan Province, he was sentenced to 'three and a half years of prison' for 'intentional arson' and '10 months in prison and 45 lashes' for 'disturbing public order'. According to a previous exclusive report by Voice of America, Majid Khademi was summoned to the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Behbahan on August 7 due to a complaint from the prosecutor regarding 'buying, selling, storing, transporting, hiding, or making explosive materials and disturbing public order and comfort and destruction and arson with explosive materials'.
