Exclusive; 'Life Threat' for Samaneh Nowruz Moradi, Political Prisoner with Cancer

According to documents obtained by Voice of America, the medical records related to the case of Samaneh Nowruz Moradi, a political prisoner, indicate that she is unable to endure punishment. Samaneh Nowruz Moradi, a constitutionalist political activist, born in 1986 in Gilan, holds a master's degree in theater directing. She was arrested again on April 23 by the Intelligence Organization of the IRGC. Based on documents obtained by Voice of America, Ms. Nowruz Moradi suffers from chronic joint lupus, diabetes, elbow and shoulder arthritis, kidney stones, high cholesterol, and breast cancer, and requires surgery. Certificates from several specialist doctors, including gynecologists, cardiologists, dermatologists, nephrologists, neurosurgeons, and nutritionists, have confirmed the multiple illnesses of this political prisoner. Additionally, a close associate of Ms. Nowruz Moradi told Voice of America that a rheumatology specialist, who is a 'trusted forensic doctor,' emphasized that Samaneh Nowruz Moradi 'given the exacerbation of her illness' due to 'stress, cannot continue to endure imprisonment and punishment.' This political prisoner, after being released from prison, was again arrested on April 23 by security forces at her home in western Tehran and taken to an unknown location. This informed source told Voice of America that Samaneh Nowruz Moradi is in 'solitary confinement in the IRGC's intelligence ward' without access to her treatment and medications - including insulin, which she must inject daily - and her life is in danger. This informed source also emphasized the 'serious concern of the family,' stating that the family of this political prisoner has had 'no contact or visit' with her. In addition to Ms. Nowruz Moradi, reports indicate that IRGC security officials have also arrested Reza Mohammad Hosseini, another constitutionalist political activist, in recent days and taken him to an unknown location.
