ITV News reported on Wednesday, December 29, revealing a plot to assassinate Farzad Farahzad, the current host, and Sima Sabat, the former host of Iran International by agents of the Islamic Republic. According to this report, 'agents of the Islamic Republic' intended to hire a human trafficker to assassinate these two journalists at a location in their living area 'home, elevators, hallways, or on stairs.'
