Expansion of Anti-Government Protests in Iran; Assault by Islamic Republic Repression Forces on a Hospital in Ilam

Protests against the Islamic Republic and Ali Khamenei continued vigorously on Sunday in various cities across Iran. Meanwhile, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, once again warned the Islamic Republic about the deadly repression of anti-government protesters. Areas in Tehran, the city of Saman in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Sangasar in Semnan Province, Hamadan, Ilam, Mashhad, Nishapur, Abadeh, Bushehr, Babol, Sari, Fardis Karaj, Meshkan in Fars, Nourabad Mamassani, Zahedan, Bojnourd, Koushk in Isfahan Province, Shazand in Markazi Province, Yasuj, Rasht, and Qazvin were among the regions in Iran that once again witnessed the presence of people in the streets chanting slogans against the entirety of Ali Khamenei's government. According to published images, the people's resistance against the repressive forces in some cases caused them to flee. However, one of the most significant events on Sunday occurred in Ilam. After encountering special forces, people sought refuge inside the Ilam hospital, and the repressive forces, disregarding the hospital environment, pursued them, creating an atmosphere filled with fear and anxiety among the people, medical staff, and hospitalized patients. Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic still tries to limit the widespread anti-government protests to economic issues, but the protesting people, based on their slogans, seek welfare and comfort in a government other than the Islamic Republic. On social media and among Iranian users, the topic of the arrest of Nicolás Maduro, the ousted dictator of Venezuela, in a Hollywood-style and his transfer to the United States is still hot, and many see Ali Khamenei's future as similar. At the same time, the London-based newspaper 'Times' reported that Ali Khamenei has a plan to escape Tehran, mentioning Moscow as a possible destination. According to this publication, he will put this plan into action if protests become more widespread and a decline in repressive forces begins. The Persian page of the U.S. State Department also published a photo of Donald Trump alongside Marco Rubio and other government members watching the operation of Maduro's transfer to U.S. soil, captioning it: 'President Trump is a man of action. If you didn't know, now you know.' Iranian users also encouraged the U.S. government to implement the same plan with the leader of the Islamic Republic. In another reaction, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett posted an hourglass on his X account. He turns it over, and as he pours the sand, it seems the countdown begins. Mr. Bennett wrote above this short post: 'It's time.'
