Explosion in Antalya Leaves Several Injured

Ambulances have been dispatched to the explosion site, and the police have closed the area due to the possibility of a second explosion at this center. The explosion occurred after the employees of this center began work and before a meeting that the city mayor was supposed to attend. Antalya is one of Turkey's tourist areas where thousands of tourists spend their holidays every year. Turkey has witnessed multiple terrorist explosions in the past 18 months, with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and Islamic extremists identified as the perpetrators of these attacks. In the first half of October, at least two rockets were fired into areas surrounding the coastal city of Antalya, but no one was injured or killed as a result. In this context, the office of Khamenei has denied his quote regarding the prohibition of 'traveling to Antalya.' The U.S. has issued a warning about 'terrorist threats' in tourist areas of Turkey, and Turkey has detained 68 people on suspicion of 'planning further attacks.'
