Explosion in St. Petersburg Metro; At Least 11 Dead and 39 Injured

Russian media reported an explosion in the St. Petersburg metro. According to the Interfax news agency, the Russian Minister of Health stated that at least 11 people were killed in this explosion that occurred on Monday evening, April 3. Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, who had participated in a press conference in St. Petersburg a few hours earlier, reacted to the explosion by stating that he had been informed of the incident by Russian security officials and that authorities are investigating the possibility of terrorism being involved in the explosions.
