Fatemeh Sepehri Condemns Hamas Attack: The Iranian People Stand with the Israeli People

In her first video message after being detained, Fatemeh Sepehri stated that Ali Khamenei has spent the Iranian people's money on bullets for Hamas, condemning the attack by this Islamic Republic-backed militia on Israel, and asserted that "the Iranian people stand with the Israeli people." This political prisoner, who has been transferred to Qaem Hospital in Mashhad, said in a video message on Tuesday, October 16, that on September 21 of last year, "agents of the Islamic Republic" came to her house and arrested her; she was held for "33 days" in solitary confinement at the Mashhad Intelligence Office and was then transferred to Imam Reza Hospital for "24 hours" before being taken to Vakilabad Prison on November 2. Fatemeh Sepehri expressed that she has been "very tortured" during these 13 months, stating that although according to a letter from the prison medical office her treatment should have started from December 1, 2022, it was halted until "May 10" and after that, she underwent surgery and was hospitalized for "10 days" before being "immediately transferred back to prison." She emphasized that she has faced "a lot of psychological pressure" and mentioned that she would provide details at another time. This political activist opposing the Islamic Republic described her deteriorating health in prison and her transfer to Qaem Hospital in Mashhad on October 27, stating that her brothers, Hossein and Mohammad Hossein Sepehri, have been detained since October 28, which has caused her significant concern and "psychological pressure." Fatemeh Sepehri noted that she was "returned to prison on October 15" and was kept in a "very polluted and dirty environment until October 22" at Vakilabad Prison, and on that date, she was taken back to "Qaem Hospital." While her family had been pursuing the cessation of her sentence since the previous afternoon, she stated that at 6:30 PM, the agents of the Islamic Republic and Khamenei's henchmen "immediately released her and left." Fatemeh Sepehri thanked "all compatriots" and "especially Prince Reza Pahlavi" for their concern for her situation, saying: "I congratulate the birthday of Shahbanu Farah, the mother of the Iranian land, on October 22, and I thank all compatriots." This political activist opposing the Islamic Republic, while sitting on a hospital bed, emphasized in this video: "I condemn the Hamas attack on Israel." She added: "I say loudly that the Iranian people stand with the Israeli people, and the agents of the Islamic Republic are spending Iran's public funds on bullets and attacking Israel. We, the Iranian people, want neither war nor the slaughter of our loved ones and defenseless people. I condemn it again." Fatemeh Sepehri also stated that "since the day the Islamic Republic came to power, the Middle East has not seen peace," emphasizing: "I hope that in this Al-Aqsa storm they have started, the case against them (the Islamic Republic) will be closed, God willing."
