Fatemeh Sepehri Transferred to Prison Medical Facility During Virtual Meeting with 'Psychological Interrogator'

Fatemeh Sepehri's brother reports that judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic arranged a virtual meeting for this political prisoner at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, attended by a 'psychological interrogator', which caused her condition to become 'very bad'. Asghar Sepehri, the brother of this political prisoner, wrote on social media platform X: 'Today, Tuesday, April 17, Fatemeh Sepehri was taken from inside Vakilabad Prison to a virtual meeting where an individual who introduced himself as a psychologist from the judiciary asked my sister private questions from her childhood.' He emphasized that 'this person refused to disclose his name to my sister' and added: 'My sister told him that until now, the Islamic Republic sent journalist interrogators, and now they have sent a psychological interrogator.' Asghar Sepehri also stated: 'My sister's condition worsened during this half-hour session, and she was transferred to the prison medical facility.' He further stressed: 'The Islamic Republic is psychologically torturing my sister through its agents, such as Ali Soleimani Marshak, the investigator of Branch 903.' Fatemeh and Mohammad Hossein Sepehri, siblings who are both signatories of the so-called '14 Statement' calling for a transition from the Islamic Republic and the resignation of its leader Ali Khamenei, are currently being held in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. Fatemeh Sepehri was last arrested on September 21, 2022, shortly after the killing of Mahsa Amini and the onset of nationwide protests, facing charges of 'propaganda against the Islamic Republic, collaboration with hostile governments, and insulting Khamenei.' The Islamic Revolutionary Court sentenced her to 18 years in prison. Despite her illness and multiple surgeries, including open-heart surgery, she remains imprisoned, and the judiciary has recently opened a new case against her on charges of 'supporting Israel.'
